Just Shipped This Piece to Singapore

August 24, 2010

A young boy in the Philippines was destined for a disadvantaged life. A massive growth hung from his head, making any semblance of a normal life impossible for him. To make matters worse, his family didn’t have the means to alleviate his burden. Then a brilliant woman stepped in. She raised funds and made arrangements for this young boy to be operated on by skilled surgeons and medical staff, and gave this boy a new start on life.

This piece was painted as a commemoration of these events. The painting is entitled “Hope.”

This is simply lovely, Kirk. The colors, the gesture, the reach of the child. What an inspiring piece for an inspiring story.
